Nose : A well present peat (between light burn, salt and more earthy tones) alongside green apple and malt. We also sense that spices arrive with the opening.
Mouth : No doubt, the peat blows away everything and stays in the purest Ardbeg style. We find malt, spices (dry) and dark chocolate. The texture isn’t upholstering enough but the alcohol is quite well integrated.
Finish : The bitterness carries on to link with this smoky peat (sometimes close to rubber). If the length is here, the finish isn’t very pleasant. The aftertaste comes back on fruits.
